The Multipurpose Room of the Zaragoza Auditorium hosts this weekend the eLaLiga Santander Cup, official competition that will bring together the eight best national teams from the EA SPORTS FIFA 22 video game. will be free to all acts and there will be a complete program of activities for all audiences, with open tournaments and free play areas.

The Councilor for Sports of the Zaragoza City Council, Cristina García, participated in this event, together with the Director of Digital Strategy of LaLiga, Alfredo Bermejo, the Director of Marketing of Real Zaragoza, Carlos Arranz, the Secretary of the Board of Mediapro and CEO of the Professional Video Game League, Jordi Soler, and the eLaLiga caster, Sergio González.
The event, which is coming to Zaragoza for the first time, is the result of the agreement reached between the municipal company Zaragoza Deporte and LaLiga, as part of Zaragoza City Council’s commitment to attract sporting, social and cultural events of national and international projection, as indicated by the Consistory of the Aragonese capital.

During the afternoon of this Friday and The Amateur Tournaments will be held until 10:00 p.m. and the so-called ‘Free To Play Arenas’ will be opened, that is, eight consoles available so that any attendee can play the EA SPORTS FIFA 22 video game. The Amateur Tournaments and the Free To Play Arenas will also take place on Saturday. This same day, in the afternoon, the professional matches of the eLaLiga Santander CUP will take place on stage in the Multipurpose Room.
The EA SPORTS FIFA teams of Real Zaragoza, Atlético de Madrid, Levante, RCD Espanyol, UD Ibiza, Deportivo Alavés, Granada CF and Cádiz CF are the eight qualified to compete for the cup title.
