Seven counties come together to promote the destination ‘Aragonese Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees’

The counties of Alto Gállego, Cinco Villas, Hoya de Huesca, Jacetania, La Ribagorza, Sobrarbe and Somontano de Barbastro have signed this Thursday a collaboration agreement to develop a promotion of the ‘Aragonese Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees’ destination.

The act of signing the agreement was carried out in the Alto de Monrepos viewpoint. Said collaboration agreement was signed by the president of the Alto Gállego region, Lourdes Arruebo; the president of the Cinco Villas region, Santos Navarro; the president of the Region of La Hoya de Huesca, Jesus Alfarothe president of the Jacetania region, Montserrat Castan; the president of the Region of La Ribagorza, Marcelino Iglesias; the president of the Sobrarbe region, Jose Manuel Bielsa; and the president of the Somontano de Barbastro region, Daniel Grace.

The purpose of this agreement is the joint contracting of services and supplies to carry out actions to promote the tourist destination under the ‘Aragonese Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees’ brand, according to Cinco Villas in a press release.

Among them, assistance to tourism fairs in Spain and abroadpublication of promotional material and other actions agreed between the signatory institutions, six of them belonging to Huesca regions and one, Zaragoza region.

The duration of said agreement includes from March 1, 2022, until December 2024. The counties will contribute a maximum of 2,500 euros per yearrespectively, to promote the aforementioned actions.

with this rubric collaboration is consolidated and strengthened of the regional entities in terms of tourism, which has been developing in recent months, with the joint attendance at the Paris and Brussels Tourism Fairs or the Navarra Tourism Fairs, FITUR in Madrid or B-Travel in Barcelona, ​​among others.

“These events have captured the public’s interest in this inland destination, the Aragonese Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees, with contrasts and landscapes, natural elements, as well as corners with history, art, heritage or gastronomy, offering endless possibilities and proposals for all types of public”, they highlight.

In addition, the counties involved in this agreement jointly published a Map of the Aragonese Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees, in which all the tourist resources of the territory are reflected, the web pages of the different regions are indicated and there is a QR code, which allows you to download all the tourist information of the area. This material has already been distributed in several fairs and tourism fairs with great reception by the public.
